Priority Period Assignment Guidelines

Initial space assignments are made for companies that submit their exhibit space application with payment by the June 13, 2008 priority period deadline, using the following criteria:

  • Returning 2007 Exhibitors
  • Membership Status with IDFA*
  • Past Participation
  • Amount of Space Required
  • Date Exhibit Space Application and Deposit are received

*Please note that IDFA members in good standing will be assigned exhibit space prior to those companies that are not members.  For membership information, please contact membership@idfa.org or 202-220-3505. To learn more about how IDFA is leading the industry, please visit www.idfa.org.

During the initial assignments, if two or more exhibitors request the same location in its original configuration, the IDFA member exhibitor that has a greater degree of past participation will be given preference.  Should two or more member companies with the same level of past participation request the same location in its original configuration, the date of receipt of the application and deposit will be used as a tiebreaker.

As you review the exhibit floor layout, please keep in mind that it has been designed to meet the strict codes set forth by the Fire Marshall, while also considering optimal traffic flow and historical exhibit space requirements. The result is a working plan that in many cases can be altered, after the initial assignments are complete, to create the custom sized exhibit space re quired to meet your needs.  After June 13, space is assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis. The sponsors reserve the right to make the final determination of all space assignments in the best interest of the show.

During the priority period, requests for 2009 locations that are the same or similar to the exhibit your company had in 2007, will receive special consideration.
